Is account-based play the ultimate solution to moving the needle to promoting healthy play and reducing harms associated from gambling? In British Columbia, account based solutions are being explored as BCLC embarks on a business transformation project that will ultimately change the player experience. In this session, BCLC will share how lottery transformation promises greater opportunities to make meaningful connections with players and provide additional information about games and safeguards to encourage healthy lottery play.

Across the world in Norway, account-based play has been in place for a long time and is used by players for all forms of gambling. Norsk Tipping, a state-owned gambling operator, will share their insights about how player cards work and the benefits resulting from a holistic view of their customers.
