Dr. Jonathan Parke is the Director of the consumer research hub ‘Sophro’, which specializes in independent research and education on the topic of gambling behaviour and harm minimization. Parke has served as principal investigator on a variety of government and research council sponsored projects, most of which focus on gambling behaviour. He has developed, delivered and managed university-level courses and corporate training programs in gambling studies over the last two decades, including some of the world’s first undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in Gambling Studies at the University of Salford.

On an on-going basis, Parke supports gambling companies to develop their safer gambling policies. His previous roles include Director of Commissioning for the Responsible Gambling Trust (RGT) and research positions at the International Gambling Research Unit, Nottingham Trent University, and the Centre for the Study of Gambling, University of Salford in the UK.
